FOOTBALL boss Harry Redknapp and EastEnders’ June Brown are among a host of veterans set to tackle technology for a TV show.
Joining the pair to grapple with devices such as smart speakers and driverless cars will be former Hi-De-Hi actress Ruth Madoc, 75, ex-BBC political correspondent John Sergeant, 74, and former Coronation Street actress Amanda Barrie, 83. Ahead of new ITV series Hard To Please OAPs, 72-year-old Redknapp said: ‘All them machines! Arghh. I don’t use them. I think it’s dangerous for pensioners.’
Brown, 92, aka Dot Cotton in the BBC1 soap, added: ‘Why isn’t life simple? I hate gadgets.’
The six-part series, narrated by Jennifer Saunders, airs next month.
