Here’s a top notch leather case for your iPhone

When I got my hands on an iPhone Xr, I was somewhat devastated to discover there were no official Apple cases on sale for the smartphone.

Any iPhone I’ve used in recent years would have been protected by the Cupertino firm’s own leather cases.

However, such cases were not released by Apple for the Xr. Instead, the company eventually released only transparent cases.

The handset rated as one of the best smartphones of 2018 comes in an array of striking colours that the Cupertino firm wanted to show off with its transparent accessory.

But I’ve finally got my hands on a quality microfibre-lined leather case from Dutch manufacturer Mujjo.

And I am most impressed as after a few months of everyday use, the vegetable-tanned, smooth leather case still looks as great as when I first acquired it.

The attention to detail and high-quality materials make this an amazing-looking accessory.

Mujjo’s Black Leather and Monaco Blue Xr cases kept selling out when first launched and when mine landed I could see why.

The attractive case adds very little thickness to the iPhone.

It extends to the bottom corners of the device for drop protection. The Lightning port and speaker opening are left largely unobstructed.

The edges are raised by 1 mm so that the screen doesn’t touch the surface when you put it down on a desk.

The buttons are covered in leather but this does not affect the phone’s responsiveness.

Openings for the camera and mute button are gently chamfered. This adds to the stylish aesthetic of the cases.

MujjoWireless charging works perfectly with the accessory on, I was pleased to note.

The fantastic slim case’s appearance is what really makes it stand out. It complements and enhances the Apple handset’s beautiful design.

There is also a Wallet version in which you can carry a couple of cards on the go without having to bring a wallet.

And the Mujjo website also carries cases for iPhone Xs and Xs Max. Not to mention sleeves for MacBooks and iPads.

Mujjo Wallet Case (in Tan, Black, Olive and Blue) costs €49.90. Mujjo Full Leather Case (in same colours) costs €44.90.
