Thiruvananthapuram: The beta version of the mobile application ‘m-Keralam’ that provides all services of various government department at a single platform will be available at the Google Play Store from next week.
The final product will be made available based on the response to the beta version. The app was scheduled to be released last June but delayed for including services from more departments and change its structure. m-Keralam is developed by State IT Mission. It can be used in Android and iPhone platforms.
Departments like Revenue, Transport, Finance, Health and Water Resource are providing their services through the application. Payments, applications, status of the petitions at Chief Ministers Office and money to Chief Minister’s disaster relief fund can be done through it.
At present the app is undergoing security check at the Central Government institution, Standardisation Testing and Quality Certification Directorate (STQC) in Thiruvananthapuram as per the request of a public sector bank, that works as the payment gateway of m-Keralam. After this it will be available at Play Store and Apple Store.
The version used in iPhones is a bit larger in case of memory. But in Android it is smaller and can be used smoothly even in 2G connections.
