Findotron Helps You Locate Your Lost Smartphone At Home

If like me you have the habit of leaving your smartphone in the strangest places around your home, and don’t have a method of calling it from either a wearable such as the Apple Watch or another smartphone. You may be interested in a little gadget created by developer Alexander Khodarev aptly named the Findotron. Simply press the button on the Findotron to trigger a call to your smartphone allowing you to quickly locate the device wherever you may have left it in your home. Watch the demonstration video below to learn more about the Findotron location system which provides an efficient way of locating your smartphone when required.

Findotron is a small stationary device that sits on your tabletop awaiting the loss of your smartphone somewhere in your house. Once the loss occurs simply press on the central button on the Findotron, and it will send a signal to an Internet server which then makes a call and triggers the companion iOS and Android application running on your smartphone. Your smartphone will then start to ring or vibrate if you have the quiet mode settings enabled, revealing its hidden location and allowing you to quickly reunite with your phone.

The Findotron has this week launched via Kickstarter with the aim of raising $12,500 over the next 27 days. Pledges start from $20 for early bird backers, and if all goes well, worldwide shipping is expected to take place during May 2018. Earlybird backers receive a 33 percent saving off the recommended retail price of $30.
